How we care for patients

Treatment Techniques

Dr. Yajima draws on several approaches and recommends care based on a patient’s evaluation, goals, and clinical needs.

01

Chiropractic Adjustments

After an examination, Dr. Yajima may use a controlled manual adjustment to address joint movement. The area treated and the course of care depend on the patient’s findings and response.

02

Kinesio Taping®

This flexible tape may be used to support muscles and joints while allowing movement. Dr. Yajima may include it for activity-related concerns as part of a broader care plan.

03

Active Therapeutic Movements (ATM®2)

ATM®2 is supervised, machine-assisted movement therapy. It is designed around movements such as bending, leaning, or twisting that are uncomfortable. Dr. Yajima can explain whether it is suitable for your particular concern.

04

Flexion-Distraction

A specialized motorized table gently flexes and stretches the spine in a repeated motion while the chiropractor applies light, targeted contact. Dr. Yajima may consider it for certain back and radiating-pain presentations after evaluation.

05

Graston Technique®

This instrument-assisted soft-tissue approach uses smooth stainless-steel tools to assess and work with areas of tissue restriction. It may be combined with other care when appropriate.

06

Soft-Tissue Treatment

Hands-on soft-tissue work may be used to address muscle tightness and movement restrictions identified during the visit.

07

Therapeutic Exercise

Movement, stretching, and strengthening guidance can help patients participate in their care between appointments. Exercises are selected for the person and their goals.

A technique listed here is not automatically part of every visit. Dr. Yajima will explain which options, if any, are appropriate for you.
